Stephanie Whallon

Stephanie Whallon is the Director of the Texas Film Commission, where she leads statewide strategy to support and grow Texas' film, television, commercial, animation, video game, VFX, and XR industries. A Columbia University–trained filmmaker and screenwriter, she has spent more than 15 years shaping the state's incentive programs, workforce development initiatives, and industry partnerships. Under her leadership, the TFC has expanded its impact across production, economic development, and creative infrastructure, serving as a central resource for Texas' diverse and rapidly evolving media ecosystem.
